Pressing
The expertise acquired through decades of granulate production and pressing tool building is precisely adjusted to the various pressing technologies and the carbide blank.
State-of-the-art pressing technologies
From the largest press of the industry (650 tons) for cost-efficient production of large carbide products in serial production, to isostatic presses, monobloc presses, rotary presses for saw teeth and hydraulic presses where the most complex geometries from 1.5 g to 450 g indexable inserts can be pressed.
Sintering and coating
1. Sintering
With its process-optimised sintering procedures for a range of more than 60 different carbide grades, Boehlerit ensures the highest degree of metallurgical flexibility for its customers.
2. Coating
All modern coating technologies (PVD, HT-CVD, MT-CVD and diamond coating) for hard substance coating of indexable inserts are available at Boehlerit’s coating centre.

1. PVD coating
The highest care and optimised mounting ensure the best, consistent coating results.
2. Die production
Manually polished and adjusted die sets ensure pressing tools precise to the μ and thus burr-free pressing.
3. Charging
Special attention is paid to the optimum position when charging for various processes.

All-encompassing environmental protectionis not only "greenwashing" but every day reality and a fixed element of Boehlerit's corporate policy. The three practice-oriented focal areas here are: development and production of recyclable quality products with the longest possible service life; production that is gentle on the environment; and minimum environmental burden in the application of the products.
The world is only lent to us
Boehlerit sets standards in environmental protection and safety at work. The carbide specialist was, for example, the first industrial operation in Upper Styria to be approved under the new Austrian environmental management law. Boehlerit has thus secured itself a place among the top Austrian companies. Only some 30 companies have concluded the extensive audit proceduresuccessfully so far.
